Her middle-aged granddaughter’s comments 100 years later:
My head feels heavy like, too. I think it’s the hot weather. On days like this, I wish that my house had an old-fashioned porch that I could sit on.

Today was a perfect summer day to relax in the shade with lemonade or ice tea!
Something wrong with the link…but finally got through… That swing looks like a good idea. I have a porch but it draws wasps due to the old wood. I often think I’d like to go sit out there in the morning before the wasps come just to watch the birds etc… but never any time. That’s probably why they stopped building porches on houses… no one has any time any more…. Actually, with all the work on the farm I don’t think your Grandmother had much time for sitting on the porch… wonder if she spent much time in her hamock???

Wasps on the porch doesn’t found like fun. The older I get the more that I wish that I had a porch.–but with no wasps.:)
