I noticed in an old cookbook that a lot of recipes used prunes.
Mom had a recipe for prune cake that was delicious–rather like a pound cake.
My grandfather was a devotee of stewed prunes. My mother used to make prune whip with strained baby food plums. Have you ever seen any reference to that in any of your readings? I was wondering where she learned it.
