I often hear parents say they are their children’s best teachers. I guess that sentiment has been around for at least a hundred years (and probably a lot longer than that).

Jello went to school, too. I still remember my grade school “experiment” — thumb prints in jello cups that were put in a dark closet so we could see the mold grow on them.
My mother prepared Jell-O three or four times a month. Her favorite addition was canned fruit cocktail, and I couldn’t face it again after I left home.
Well this gave me a chuckle. My mother liked lime jello with cottage cheese and pineapple.
Is much prefer your mother’s choice of a Jell-O additive.
My favorite jello was the cherry coke salad my grandmother made, using Coca Cola, pecans, and of course, cherries!
David thinks that sounds delicious.
I might still have the recipe. It was a lovely (cheap) dessert and a family favorite. I will see if I still have it and do a post!
Love everything about this ad!
It is on my bucket list to visit the Museum of Jello in LeRoy, NY.
Love the little Kewpie doll!
I was most struck by the full cheeks of the tots. I remember my mother telling me that kids were praised for having a little extra weight so that they could survive serious illness. How times have changed.
