Difficult to Study After a School Vacation

Her middle-aged granddaughter’s comments 100 years later:

Grandma’s school was closed the previous two days so that students could attend the Milton Fair. It’s hard to get back to the books after a long break.

Oh, well, it was only Saturday—Grandma still had Sunday to get her lessons done.  :)

  1. Been there! ;-)

  2. It is so hard to study during a vacation, I think teachers should give no assignments for that time.

  3. Fairs were really the big thing back then I guess. I imagine they waited all year for just a couple of days of fun like that. I do remember going to the Edmonton Exhibition when we were very little, I liked the nickle diggers the best. Even though I never won anything.
